Who is this Beyond Proof Retreat for?
The retreat is for mothers who have experienced the death of a child, at any age. This death could have happened many years ago, or very recently - the death of a child stays close to us for our entire lives. Beyond Proof is for open-minded women, ready and eager to connect with their children in ways they thought may be possible, but haven’t yet learned how.
Am I ready for a Beyond Proof Retreat?
The 5 stages of outlined by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross are: Denial and Isolation, Anger, Bargaining (“If only…”), Depression, and Acceptance. The Beyond Proof Retreats are designed for women who have reached the “Acceptance” stage of the grieving process. Angie is not a licensed mental-health professional, and the retreats are not meant to be an alternative to counseling or professional help. If you are stuck deep in any of the first 4 stages of grief, we do encourage you to seek professional counseling before joining a Beyond Proof Retreat.
